We are proud of these behaviors and values as they are the contributions and gifts of some of the many people who have been associated with our organization over the years. The D.P. Murphy Inc. Hall of Fame was created to recognize and honor some of these extraordinary people.
A single individual will be selected every year by the Hall of Fame selection committee from a list of eligible nominees. Individuals eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame include: any current employee of D.P. Murphy Inc. (both management and non-management), past employees of D.P. Murphy Inc.,as well as our business and support colleagues from among our franchisors and other business associates.
The selection criteria will be to identify that special individual whose efforts, examples and leadership have significantly contributed to help shape our company's culture, our values, and our proud heritage.
Jack Thomsen - Inducted December 2005
It is with great excitement that we announce our third inductee, Jack Thomsen, into the D.P. Murphy Inc. Hall of Fame.
Jack has been with the company for over 23 years and has worked as a baker at various Tim Hortons locations. He currently works at our St. Peter's Rd. location.
Jack has, over the course of nearly the past quarter of a century, demonstrated an above average dedication on the high quality standards of our products. Many other bakers have benefited from Jack's training over the years. Jack was instrumental in making the P.E.I. Tim Hortons stores the envy of the country in terms of quality and consistency of our products. Jack was also instrumental in the very successful operation of the Central Commissary and has been a leader in our change to "Always Fresh Program" at the store level.
Congratulations Jack on a well deserved honor!
Edith Clow - Inducted January 2005
Edith Clow was named the second inductee in the The D.P. Murphy Inc. Hall of Fame. Edith was a long time employee, providing 12 years of service in our Tim Hortons Division.
Edith played a pivotal role in the growth of Tim Hortons on Charlottetown. She took personal pride in delivering Guest Courtesy everyday and ensured a clean restaurant for everyone who came in. Edith also trained many counter attendants over the years, passing on her high standards and inspiring many to share in her vision for the same.
Edith retired 12 years ago and is currently enjoying her retirement by making quilts and having flea markets at her home in Dunstaffnage.
All of us at D.P. Murphy Inc. extend our congratulations to Edith. The honor is well deserved.
