Tim Horton Scholarship Award This program is open to all eligible Tim Horton restaurant employees, children or grandchildren of Tim Horton restaurant employees. Applications are accepted from February - April of each calendar year. On July 21, 2011 D.P. Murphy Inc. was pleased to announce and present BREANNA MORRISION from Tim Hortons – Montague, with a cheque for $1,000.00 as one of the winners of the 220 scholarships that are awarded each year from The Team Tim Hortons Scholarship Program. Breanna had a 1 in 4 chance of winning. Congratulations to Breanna and we wish her all the very best! Please remember we also have our own D.P. Murphy Inc. Tuition Assistance Program that is open to all employees working for us and attending school 23 years of age and younger. Anyone wishing to apply for these programs, please talk to your GM and/or contact your H.R. department for full details.

Islanders Make 2011 Tim Horton Food Drive A Success Once again, our annual Tim Horton Food Drive was a huge success. Thank you to all Islanders!! You have come through and have restocked the shelves at all Food Banks across PEI. Many of us do not realize the need that is out there. We appreciate your continued support!

Hotel Client Golf Tournament On a cool afternoon on May 25th, 2011 clients from the D.P. Murphy Inc. Hotel Group were invited out to enjoy an afternoon of golf at the Stanhope Golf and Country Club. 125 golfers took part in the event with a delicious meal served afterwards at the Stanhope Beach Resort & Conference Centre.

Bowl for Kids Sake - 2011 On Saturday, March 5th, lots of bowlers from D. P. Murphy Inc. took to the alleys in Charlottetown and Summerside in support of Bowl for Kids Sake. In total, D. P. Murphy Inc. raised $2,753.79 with our top team being Carol Knockwood's team from Mt. Edward Road who raised $519.00. Pictured here is the top fundraising team - Lady Ga Ga (Mt. Edward Road team) and her security / management dudes.
